Pilots

What good is it having reliable platforms, if the pilot can't fly well? At Hawaii Flight Survey we take pride in our professional service, which includes having only the best pilots fly your projects.

Pilots generally come out of the commercial rating with no experience, looking for their first flying job. But survey flying is one of the most demanding types of flying. It requires, first and foremost, a professional attitude. Without this, the pilot cannot perform to the rigorous demands of survey flying.

Survey flying can get very boring, and it demands of the pilot the highest level of concentration and flight skills for hours at a time, day after day. Thus, finding those kind of pilots is difficult.

At Hawaii Flight Survey, we have a very difficult selection process where pilots are graded, rejected or accepted prior to training. Once we decide to train a pilot, they must pass a thorough flight test before we permit them to fly a customer project. This also helps to keep flight time to a minimum and costs down.
